Since 1989, The Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission (FTC) has served as a production hub for all location and production information. The FTC has operated on one principal policy: To Provide the Best Quality Service Anywhere. The FTC’s highly qualified and professional staff is dedicated to providing extraordinary service to industry professionals that visit Palm Beach County for production. A member of the staff answers every phone call during business hours. After hours, voice mail is offered directing callers to management cellular telephones 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Education is an important element in advancing the local film and television industry. Through an annual contract with the Economic Development Office, the FTC works with Palm Beach County schools to assure that students are receiving up-to-date equipment and instruction. This contract also funds the Student Showcase of Films, an awards program that coincides with the Palm Beach International Film Festival, in which Florida students are honored and awarded more than $30,000 in cash awards, prizes and scholarships. Opportunities are now endless for students who have a passion to be in the business of show business. The FTC is governed by an active Board of Directors made up of local and national production professionals, members at large and agency representatives; all dedicated to enhancing programs and growing the film, television and still photography industry in Palm Beach County, These volunteers draw upon outside resources and contacts for support and information, extending the reach of the FTC to meet the goals and objectives. The Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission envisions Palm Beach County growing in stature as a production center through its world wide reputation for first class service, the development of a qualified and diversified workforce and enhanced partnerships that support production facilities, industry events and film festivals.
